about

Gianni Lenoci _ piano
Pierpaolo Martino _ Fender bass VI _ electronics
Francesco Cusa _ drums

Great trio as always for Gianni Lenoci, here with Francesco Cusa (drummer, teacher, writer) and Pierpaolo Martino (bassist, teacher, essayist). As can be seen from the titles, the work revolves around the novel 1984 by George Orwell, that along with Aldous Huxley, has described the society we live with great details, speaking of control and its methods, the reality of Proles, of Newspeak, of false attacks (false flag) for tighten the freedom of individuals and so on. It is a pyramidal society with no future, no hope whatsoever. We still have the chance to make music, albeit forced into circles well bordered: here, on this album, the music becomes free improvisation, recorded all'Eticarte Free improvisations recorded at Eticarte Waveahead Studio on October 2015 in Monopoli (Italy); sound technician: Mimmo Galizia.
Sadly, Gianni passed away on September 30, 2019. He was born on June 6, 1963. He was only 56! Rest in peace, dear Gianni.
